Green, red and gold decor was sprinkled around street corners, the excitement of the holidays still fresh in the air. Inside, a flurry of ten bridesmaids scurried in and out of the bridal suite, some fluffing the wedding dress, others admiring the lovely bride as she primped, and a few practicing their ceremony duet. Top 40 music filled the room, matching the excitement of the entire bridal party. The bride, Starbucks cup in hand, sipped her beverage and tapped her crimson polished toes to the beat of the music. This was the start to Maura and Matt’s wedding day, one filed with sparkle, luminance and love.
Maura and Matt wanted to share a letter and a gift with each other prior to the ceremony. I placed them on either side of this pocket door at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association and it turned out to be the perfect setting- they could hold hands and share the moment together without seeing each other!
I love their expressions- you can tell how sweet on each other they are! And, they both got each other the same thing… pocket watches! Great minds think alike.
This couple is awesome… they did a dip kiss in the ceremony! Love it!
