Melanie + Ryan | Strip District Engagement

Melanie and Ryan are a fun and up-for-anything couple, and we had such an amazing time getting to know them during their engagement session last weekend! The weather was lovely… Saturday’s grey day turned bright and sunny, and set the perfect scene for their session in the Strip District. What a gorgeous day to photograph a gorgeous couple! First Date: 6/26/12 at the Waterfront.  They ate Mexican food and then walked along the river, talking and getting to know each other.

How he/she knew it was meant to be: While neither remember a distinct moment in time where they KNEW they’d be getting married, they both had a feeling pretty early on in their relationship.

Melanie: During a heartfelt conversation with her mom, her mom said that she had never seen Melanie so happy, and that she knew Ryan was the one for her!  Hearing her mom say it confirmed it for Melanie.

Ryan: After a few months of dating, there was a night where he knew he would spend the rest of his life with Melanie. He doesn’t remember what they did that day or why that day was different from the rest, but he just knew.

The Proposal: 8/17/13. They went out to celebrate Ryan’s new job (or so Melanie thought!) and played putt-putt, had lunch in Market Square, and then walked around Point State Park.  The walk in Point State Park led to Ryan getting down on one knee for the proposal!

Their “I Dos:”  9/20/14.  Reception to be held at Cefalo’s.
