If you are looking for an intimate wedding, a Pop Up Wedding is one of the most unique and creative options to consider. For those of you that have never heard of a Pop Up Wedding, it is a 90 minute, all-inclusive, fully-styled ceremony and wedding celebration. The Pittsburgh Pop Up Wedding Co. is the premier Pop Up wedding company in Pennsylvania, and is a sister company to the well-known specialty/rental company, Vintage Alley Rentals.
I have had the pleasure of working with the Pittsburgh Pop Up Wedding Co. and Vintage Alley Rentals to photograph a few weddings, and am always in awe at the level of lavish detail put together for these events.
Heidi and Ross’s Pop Up Wedding was held at the West Overton Barn, which is a venue that offers sweeping views and multiple settings for a wedding ceremony and celebration. Heidi and Ross are a gorgeous and fun-loving couple, and I couldn’t have been more honored to capture their beautiful Pop Up Wedding. Take a scroll through some of my favorite images from their day…
It has been incredibly refreshing to start photographing again this summer, especially because it gives me the chance to connect with my clients again. I have missed that so much!
Becki and Dan’s engagement session was originally slated for the spring, but with how things shook out with the pandemic, their session got pushed to the end of July. We photographed Becki and Dan’s engagement session at Frick Park, and it was a beautiful evening. That is, right before the thunderstorms rolled in! We still managed to get plenty of amazing images prior to the surprise attack lightning and rain. And, as chance would have it, I ironically saw a few of my neighbors taking an evening run around the park (we don’t live close by)!
Becki and Dan are getting married in October of this year at the George Washington Hotel. We have photographed at this location in the past, and absolutely love the character and charm of the hotel. We will be at their wedding with bells on, and can’t wait to watch this lovely couple say their I Dos!
Mt. Washington is one of my favorite places in the city. Not only because of the sweeping views, but also because of the cute nooks and crannies all around the hilltop. So, when Nic decided that he wanted to have his senior session pictures taken on Mt. Washington, I was elated!
It was a gorgeous evening when we photographed. The sun was out, and for the most part, the overlooks weren’t overly crowded, so we were able to snap a few pictures on one of them.
Nic has a GQ look about him, so I had a lot of fun dropping him in some cool scenes and see how the pictures unfolded!
Take a look at some of my favorite images from his session…
For about eight years, my office was a random compilation of photographs from my wanderlust travels, eclectic knick knacks, closet doors that were stained two different colors from the prior owner, and in general, a space that was waiting for inspirational renovation.
Last fall, I fell in love with some modern iron bookshelves at Homegoods, and knowing that an office renovation was in the future, I bought them. Fast forward six months to the spring, I had some time on my hands for a project, and scoured my Houzz app for inspirational home office ideas; ideas to incorporate those book shelves.
While all of the home office pictures in the Houzz app were lovely, I just couldn’t find an idea that felt like it was “the one.” (Did I just make an office renovation seem as selective as choosing a life partner?!)
I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted my office to look like, but I knew that it would hit me when I saw it. With most of my home renovation projects, just one item can spur my inspiration, and within a matter of minutes, I can put together an entire room in my mind. Which is exactly what happened with my office renovation. I found a light pendant online that matched the modern theme of my iron book shelves, and BAM! I knew exactly what to do to create a space that I looked forward to sitting in every day.
With a little bit of fresh paint, newly stained doors, and accent pieces that matched the office theme in my mind, this is what I came up with…
So, that’s my new office! The only quip that I have is that the décor is so minimalistic, everything echos. Any suggestions to solve this issue?
Thanks for taking a look! Leave me some comments to tell me what you think of it!
Julia and Jeff are getting married in June next year, and we are so excited to photograph their wedding! Not only because they are such a nice couple, but also because this will be the second wedding that we have photographed for the family. I first met Julia at her sister’s wedding in 2015 (Hi, Amanda and Adam!) When Julia came to me to book her wedding photography, I was overjoyed.
We photographed Julia and Jeff’s engagement session around the city, from Point State Park to the Cultural District. Since Julia and Jeff enjoy watching musicals, we made sure to take a few pictures outside of The Benedum, where many of the musicals that they’ve seen together have taken place.
