Katie and Geoff | Pittsburgh Field Club Wedding

I first met Katie and Geoff at a coffee shop in the Strip District- they were in town from San Francisco meeting potential wedding vendors and arranging plans for their big day. I remember noting what warm and fun people they are, and completely felt a connection to them. I was elated when they felt the same way and booked us for their wedding day!
Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Pittsburgh Field Club, and it was an absolutely amazing day. Yes, the weather was perfect, the décor was stunning, but what was even more notable to us was how absolutely warm and friendly their family is to every single person they encounter. Beautiful people on the inside and out- you know the type- they just radiate love and happiness. The second our eyes fell upon their smile, we couldn’t help but smile, too. It felt as if we had known them for years, but in reality, we just met them that day. By the end of the night, we were giving goodbye hugs all around, and my heart was so happy to have been a part of it all.
But let’s talk about Katie and Geoff for a minute- as if Katie’s crystal blue eyes don’t sparkle enough… when she and Geoff were together they twinkled even brighter. A gorgeous bride with a ton of class, a hint of edge, and the most amazing and glowing smile. And Geoff, one of the most sincere and heartfelt handsome gentlemen, you can see his love and devotion to his bride by the way that he looks at her. A beautiful couple that exudes warmth and sophistication. When we left their wedding, I remember turning to Barry and saying “Can we be forever friends with that family?!” Truth.

Jackie and Jay | Historic Stone House Inn Wedding

Jackie and Jay. A couple whose love for each other is so pure and effortless, it makes you think “this is *exactly* what forever love looks like.” A gorgeous couple, with a casual and honest way about them. They can make anybody feel important and loved in the first few minutes of conversation with them. A couple that makes you feel like you are a better person just by knowing them.

Jackie and Jay got engaged at Ohiopyle literally the day after I photographed another couple’s engagement session there! It was so ironic to learn this at our first meeting! Jackie and Jay feel incredibly connected to Ohiopyle, which is why we took their engagement and creative wedding pictures at this state park. Their reception was held at The Historic Stone House Inn, which, if you have ever been to Ohiopyle, you have inevitably passed this architecturally charming structure.

Kristen and Andrew | George Washington Hotel Wedding

“I’m usually an organized person, I don’t know why not today!” Kristen says to me as she is getting ready for her wedding day. I think she said this in response to the fact that we were running *maybe* only 5 minutes late according to our timeline. As a wedding vendor, we know and come to expect that it is basically the norm for a wedding day to run incredibly late, so only 5 minutes late is a welcome blessing!

Kristen and Andrew are a fun and laid-back couple, and at the same time are so polished and flawless looking on their wedding day! They have a love for their two rescued pups (anyone that is an animal lover is a friend of mine!) and I was thrilled to hear that we would be taking pictures with these pups, who were also dressed to the nines, after the ceremony.

The look on Andrew’s face when he first sees Kristen in her wedding dress says it all. I couldn’t have waived a magic wand to create a more emotional and sweet moment between these two. The little moments of affection between Kristen and Andrew were my favorite- the way he tightly grasped her hand as they walked together, or the way that she giggled when he hugged her and brought her close to him. So in love.

Amanda and Jordan | The Grand Estate at Hidden Acres Wedding

I remember first meeting Amanda and her mother, it was a beautiful fall day, and we sat down for coffee and discussed what Amanda and Jordan had planned for their wedding. What I loved most about Amanda from our initial conversation all the way through to her wedding day was her attention to detail, and how absolutely excited she was to carry out such a personal and beautiful vision for her and Jordan’s special day.

It wasn’t just the attention to detail that made Amanda and Jordan’s wedding so beautiful, it was the laughter, the smiles between them both, and how much they enjoyed spending the day with their loved friends and family. The weather had called for heavy rain, and by some miracle, the rain only occurred right before the ceremony. The sun pushed it passed us so we could have the most spectacular sunny and warm day.

It was an extra special treat for us to work with some of our favorite “friendors” (friend vendors)- Vintage Alley Rentals supplied the most beautiful soft pink sofa as a backdrop for our pictures! From start to finish, every emotion and detail of Amanda and Jordan’s wedding was meaningful and beautiful. Take a look to see what I mean…

Callan and Brandon- City Engagement Session

What are the odds that I am able to photograph somebody that grew up in the same town as me?! Callan and I both grew up in Murrysville, and we reconnected a few years ago when we photographed her lovely sister’s wedding (hi, Brittany and Dan!) And now, it is Callan and Brandon’s turn! This beautiful couple is getting married in Savannah, Georgia, probably one of the most swoon-worthy destinations.

Callan and Brandon knew each other in high school, but it wasn’t until years later that they started dating and are now headed down the aisle. What I love most about this couple is, not only how magazine gorgeous they are, but also how they make each other laugh. You can tell how much fun they have together, it radiates in these photos!
