Kim and Vince | Pittsburgh Botanic Garden Wedding

Our first meeting seemed like only a matter of minutes, but as Kim, Vince, and I said our goodbyes, we realized that we had been chatting for over two hours! You really know that you hit it off with a couple when you are having so much fun conversing, that you find yourself talking about far more than just weddings, and you can’t stop smiling from ear to ear!

Kim and Vince were all smiles throughout their wedding day (well, we caught a few happy tear moments for Kim) and what we loved most about their day was how absolutely special it was for them to share it with the people they love the most. For how laid back this couple is, they sure knew how to organize and implement an amazing wedding! No detail was overseen. Looking at the reception tables, we were in awe at the color palate- bright copper Moscow Mule Mugs glistened beside each guest’s place setting, and long stems of greenery sprawled from end to end of each table. Chair signs signified where the parents and grandparents sat at each table, and beautiful copper and white ribbons were tied to sticks so guests could wave them high in the air as Kim and Vince exited their ceremony. Such a beautiful day, for such a deserving couple! Take a look to see what I mean…

Carissa and Craig | Point Park Engagement Session

I met Carissa last year, prior to her engagement to Craig, and at one point she told me “When it is my turn to get married, I’m calling you for wedding photos!” Fast forward to a few months ago, when I received an email from her about photographing their wedding… I was ecstatic to say the least!

Carissa and Craig have been dating since high school, and they are more in love than ever! They are so stinkin’ cute together… whether it is the laughter they share or the sweet little hugs as we photographed. Craig is a police officer, and we had the chance to photograph them together with a cop car! It was an awesome experience to say the least. And the beautiful rose colored sunset was icing on the cake.

Looking forward to 4/28/18, Carissa and Craig! 4/28 is a great day- it was my first date anniversary with Barry, and now even more special because Carissa and Craig will share it with us as their wedding day!

Erin and Chris- Anniversary Session

On September 29, Erin and Chris will celebrate their five year anniversary! I feel like I go way back with this beautiful couple- I photographed their wedding and one year anniversary session, and have kept in touch with them since! I love when you really get to know a couple and feel close to them. I was incredibly happy when Erin reached out to me to commemorate their five year anniversary by taking their portraits!

We decided to photograph in the city, since this is a new backdrop compared to the park-like settings that we have photographed in historically. By Erin’s special request, we recreated one of her favorite wedding picture poses! (Check out the picture of the dip on the Roberto Clemente Bridge.)

Lauren and Reed | Hartwood Acres Engagement Session

I first met Lauren when I photographed her good friend’s wedding last year (shout out to Hannah and her husband Will!), and was over-the-moon thrilled when Lauren contacted me to book us for her wedding and engagement photos! Lauren and Reed make such a beautiful, relaxed, and fun couple. They own a sweet boxer named Jackson, who loved to ham it up in front of the camera! I don’t think that he wanted “his” photo shoot to end!

What I love most about Lauren and Reed is that they are completely relaxed around each other, and also in front of the camera. They would snuggle so sweetly together, and on the flip side would have fun being silly with each other (take a look at Lauren’s piggy back ride on Reed!) Reed would hug Lauren so tightly, it made me get the warm fuzzies in my heart.

Lauren and Reed are getting married in August of next year at Greystone Fields. We are so excited to be a part of their wedding day! Here is a little taste of their engagement session!

Jill and Jonathan | Ohiopyle Engagement Session

When Jill and Jonathan told me that they wanted to photograph their engagement session at Ohiopyle, I was *so* excited to capture this fun couple in all of the beautiful scenes that this state park has to offer! Although Jill calls herself a “city girl,” I didn’t buy it for one second- she was scaling rocks as we literally crossed over rapids to get to a section of Cucumber Falls. It was so cute to watch this couple together- Jonathan was always holding out his hand so Jill could steady herself as she hopped over rocks and logs (in her beautiful white dress- what a trooper!) They would hug and nuzzle as they soaked in all of the beautiful scenes.
