Amanda and Seth | White Barn Wedding

It may have been the shortest wedding ceremony in the White Barn’s history (just under 8 minutes), but time stood still as Seth watched Amanda emerge from the shadows of the barn and walk down the aisle. Clearly in awe of his bride, he mouthed the words “WOW”- a moment that Barry and I are privileged to witness as every other head is turned towards Amanda. The cloudless sky and radiant sun set the perfect scene for their wedding, matching the warmth that surrounded this marriage and celebration. So many helping hands played a part in the unique details of this wedding- from the homemade moonshine and jam favors, to the button and burlap wrapped flower arrangements. We were amazed at the details, thought, and love that created this wonderful day!

Besides Seth’s reaction to Amanda walking down the aisle, another fantastic moment occurred when the ring bearer ran to meet the flower girl as she walked down the aisle! And of course, the sweet tears that ran down Amanda’s cheeks as her mother and bridesmaids stared in awe at this lovely bride. Keep scrolling to see these wonderful moments!

Spring Family Portraits | North Park

I was so excited to see this lil’ guy again! I first photographed him when he turned one last spring, and within this past year, he has learned to eat the camera up! This year he flashed endless smiles, and continuously entertained us with uncontrollable giggles. He loved running up and down the fields, enjoying the freedom of moving about on his own free will (with Mom and Dad just a few steps behind him!) Here are some of my favorites from his session!

Melissa and Bob | Sheraton Station Square Wedding

Melissa and Bob’s wedding was held at the Sheraton Station Square- a prime location for a wedding- near bustling downtown activities, the allure of the city skyline, and a plethora of beautiful locations to take pictures. It was a beautiful spring day, disguised as summer in result of the bright sun and heat. I love those kind of spring days- they are prep for summer! And such perfect weather for a wedding!

I’ll never forget my first meeting with Melissa- not only did we talk about our mutual love for bling and sparkles, but she also told me about what they had planned for their wedding cake- a beautiful, crisp white cake, clad with sparkly bling, and a truck spinning “mud” onto the cake. The blinged-up cake was obviously decorated to Melissa’s vision, and the mud and truck added some influence from Bob!

In between the ceremony and reception, we hopped all around Station Square and Mount Washington, taking advantage of all the picturesque sites our city has to offer. Amy and Jason | Rolling Hills Country Club Wedding

Wedding season has kicked off for us at Lavender Leigh Photography, and we are heading into it with a *BANG!* starting with Amy and Jason’s beautiful wedding ceremony at St. John Capistran Church, and reception at Rolling Hills Country Club.

Spring was creeping in the weekend of Amy and Jason’s wedding, with magnolia trees in full bloom, and grass as young and green as can be. The day started off at Amy’s mother’s house, the getting ready location. As I was poking my head into each room, trying to locate Amy’s wedding dress for pictures, I quickly found which room it was located in- designated with a “No Boys Allowed” sign taped to the door. Certainly a note created by Amy, indicative of her humor, wit, and fun spirit. Three of the million reasons why I adore her. And Jason is quite the perfect match for Amy, full of charm, kindness, and open adoration for his bride. I feel grateful for having been chosen to be a part of their day, and even more so for having gotten to know such wonderful people. Wherever they go in life, I know that great things will follow.
