Elise + Eric | Pittsburgh and Kennywood Engagement

Elise and Eric are truly one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the pleasure of photographing, and it would be an understatement to say that we had a blast taking their pictures at their engagement session this past weekend! Not only did we get to enjoy the thrill of Kennywood, but we also took advantage of some of the cool surrounding scenes that Pittsburgh has to offer.

These bystanders have a special place in our heart 😉

How they met: Elise and Eric went to the same elementary school, but they didn’t begin dating until after the both graduated from college. Elise messaged him to say hi one day, and this is how their love story began!

First date: The movies! To Elise’s surprise, a few other friends joined them on their first date!

How Eric knew she was the one:
I had never met someone so caring for other people and does everything in her control to
make others happy before herself. It didn’t take me long to fall for her because quite simply, she is my best friend and I wouldn’t be able to live without. She has shown me many acts of love, never giving up on us when times get rough. Those are the people in life you fight for, which is
why I will take care of her until the day I die.

What Elise loves most about Eric:
Everything! He is funny, sexy, has a great smile and eyes, and is everything I ever wanted! He is
always there for me when I need him. When I was in graduate school, he supported me during
the stressful times and pushed me when I needed to be pushed. Four years later, I still get
butterflies in my stomach when I am around him!

The proposal: Disneyworld in December 2013. Eric took Elise on a ferry ride to Port Orleans Riverside hotel. A horse and buggy awaited them at the hotel, which took them to a white gazebo on the lake, adorned with gorgeous red poinsettias. Quite the magical moment!

Weekend Getaway | Niagara on the Lake

Barry and I absolutely love to travel. So much so, that I firmly believe we work not to put food on the table, but instead to see the world (and photograph it!)

This past weekend, we took a trip to Niagara on the Lake to celebrate our seventh anniversary. Niagara on the Lake is the cutest little town full of charm, wineries galore, boutique shopping and delightful farm-to-table dining. We love wine tasting and dining, and for this reason, we have been to this region three times to experience everything it has to offer.

I had an unusual experience at Herdner Estates. As I was checking out their barn wedding venue, the door slammed closed behind me (there was not a breeze to shut it!) The winery staff later informed me that friendly spirits reside in the barn.

Tim Hortons was our morning, noon, and evening coffee and snack break. Love those Timbits.

The Boudoir Experience | Boudoir Photography

Summer Fun! Children and Family Portraits
