If you haven’t yet seen the colorful and chic scarves created by local designer Anna of Desiring Joy, then you must hop over to her Etsy store a.s.a.p. and see what the rave is about! Desiring Joy began when a bank teller complimented Anna on a scarf Anna was wearing and made. The teller asked if she could buy one from Anna. Soon to follow, just about every woman working at this bank wanted one of Anna’s handmade scarves, and bought every single one she made! Fast forward to today- Anna’s store, Desiring Joy, is a wildly popular and successful storefront on Etsy- and I couldn’t have been more honored when she asked me to photograph some of her latest inventory!

Wedding Photography Welcome Kit Packaging

Last July, I embarked on the mission of creating a new brand, in hopes that this project would be completed by the end of the year. I had N.O. idea just how long it would actually take to accomplish this project! It wasn’t just creating and deciding on a logo, but also determining the colors, fonts, materials and style that best represent my brand! All of this and more, in addition to determining how I wanted my website to look (the website was a completely separate animal!)

Bit by bit, I am tackling pieces of this project, and am having so much fun in the process! My latest task was to conquer the marketing materials, including my business card and a welcome kit for my wedding couples. And yes, I absolutely had to throw in a little bit of sparkle to this kit!

Here are some of the items my wedding couples will find in their Welcome Kits (along with a few other surprises that are just for the couple…)

Spring Family Portraits

Spring is finally here, and it was a great way to celebrate the lovely weather by heading outside and taking some pictures of families and children that I absolutely adore.

“L” Family
These little brothers adore their sister! Just a beautiful family.

“T” Family
This little guy is 6 months old! He loved being outside and had a great time picking up leaves and feeling the grass. Who can blame him? It has been a long winter!

“H” Family
This lovely family is complete with blue-eyed twin girls! What I love most is that each twin has their own personality, which you can see in the below images.

“M” Family
This family just celebrated a one-year-old birthday! Complete with balloons and a cupcake. Keep scrolling to see how he dove right into that cupcake!

Little Boy “E”
This lil’ guy may look familiar- his first session was posted last month. Just love his shining dark eyes and his expressions!

Night Photography | Portrait Fun

Photographing at night can create amazing and magical images. For wedding photography, a nighttime picture is the perfect finale for your album because it creates a unique and breathtaking parting shot of your special day.

This weekend, I teamed up with fellow photographers Nicole, Kristen, Krystal, Charlene and Alisa to test out our new gadgets in preparation for the photography season! Our play date was at Station Square, where there are a plethora of colorful lights and unique backdrops to complement our night pictures. In addition to photographing each other, we also had a sweet lil’ pup to model for us!

We had so much fun together and are already planning our next night time play date!

Little Boy “G” | Portrait Session

There’s nothing more adorable than a little curly-haired boy all dolled up in a button down shirt and trendy little vest! Little “G” is now over one year old, and I can’t believe how much of a little man he has become! The last time I saw him was at his newborn session in November 2012.
