One of the last warm weather fall days fell on Katie and Tommy’s engagement session, and there were still beautiful color on the trees. Some trees swept over the gates of Mellon Park with fiery red tendrils; it set the most lovely scene for some of our pictures!
I had the best time getting to know Katie and Tommy as I took their engagement pictures! They are a relaxed, fun and down-to-earth couple, and we are so excited to photograph their wedding in September of 2023! Take a look at some of my favorites from their engagement session…
Bre and Ben; a couple that met when they were younger, and as fate would have it, they were brought back together years later to create a sweet love story.
Bre and Ben’s wedding included many personal touches to reflect some of the sweet meanings in their relationship. To start with, their wedding cake topper was hand-painted and ceramic, of two Pokemon characters twisted together to form the shape of a heart. This symbolized the first time that Bre met Ben when she was ten years old. She was carrying a Pokemon stuffed animal, and when Ben commented that he liked it, she gave it to him and said “Wait for me, Ben!” Fast forward years later to when Bre and Ben started dating; Ben gifted a similar Pokemon character back as a nod to her first gift to him.
Also, on their first date, Bre and Ben unknowingly wore similar grey Converse sneakers. So, they decided to celebrate that moment on their wedding day, and they both wore grey Converse sneakers as they said their nuptials.

When I saw an email come through from Zach, inquiring about wedding photography, I was absolutely elated! Zach and I met each other at Morgan and Mark’s wedding this past summer; Zach was the videographer and I was the photographer. We worked alongside each other very well, and ever since our introduction, I have been referring my wedding clients to Zach’s company, One and Only Media (click on the company name to link through to their website.) Being a wedding artist himself, I was completely flattered when Zach not only reached out to me for his and Sam’s wedding photography, but also ended up booking us!
Zach and Sam’s engagement session was so much fun! They are a completely fun and laid back couple, and all the while that we photographed, I learned about their backstory, the proposal, and some of our favorite restaurants to eat at. After their session, they actually went to one of my favorites, Gaucho! It is eminent in the images how much fun these two have together. Tons of hugs and laughs!
It was a lovely fall day when we photographed, one of the last warm days of the season. Take a look and see some of my favorites from their session…
The second that Keeley and Kyle mentioned that they wanted a picture with their cats for their engagement session, I knew that we would instantly get along! While most of their session took place in Oakland, we headed to their house for the grand finale to see if we could get a snap with their adorable and charismatic purr kids. And, we did!
Keeley and Kyle had the most colorful of fall days for their session! The leaves were the brightest that I have ever seen in the fall. Vibrant fall leaves for a vibrant couple! These two are getting married in September of 2023 at the Priory, and we are so excited to be a part of their wedding day!

Her energy is like an outpouring of warm sunshine. His energy is like a tender and caring hug. Together, Brittney and Shawn radiate such love for each other, for their friends, and for their families. Watching their wedding day unfold, you can see that this energy was matched by their guests during every stage of the day.
No little detail was left out of Brittney and Shawn’s wedding day. Every piece of the day was well- thought out and included personal touches; from Brittney’s Mr. and Mrs. McCreary wedding sneaks, to custom cocktails named after their fur pups, to the personalized lights that reflected their names from behind the bridal party table, and there was even a slideshow of images of Brittney as she grew up, which was projected on the wall as Brittney and her father shared their father/daughter dance. Shawn even made a custom archway for he and Brittney to walk under as they entered into the reception! A couple so thoughtful, that they even gave *me* a few presents that were personalized for their wedding photographer! Which, literally brought tears to my eyes because this was so thoughtful of them.
To know this couple is to feel loved. And you can feel this love as you scroll through images of their wedding day.
