Keeley and Kyle | Oakland Engagement Session

The second that Keeley and Kyle mentioned that they wanted a picture with their cats for their engagement session, I knew that we would instantly get along! While most of their session took place in Oakland, we headed to their house for the grand finale to see if we could get a snap with their adorable and charismatic purr kids. And, we did!

Keeley and Kyle had the most colorful of fall days for their session! The leaves were the brightest that I have ever seen in the fall. Vibrant fall leaves for a vibrant couple! These two are getting married in September of 2023 at the Priory, and we are so excited to be a part of their wedding day!

Brittney and Shawn | Chartiers Room Wedding

Her energy is like an outpouring of warm sunshine. His energy is like a tender and caring hug. Together, Brittney and Shawn radiate such love for each other, for their friends, and for their families. Watching their wedding day unfold, you can see that this energy was matched by their guests during every stage of the day.

No little detail was left out of Brittney and Shawn’s wedding day. Every piece of the day was well- thought out and included personal touches; from Brittney’s Mr. and Mrs. McCreary wedding sneaks, to custom cocktails named after their fur pups, to the personalized lights that reflected their names from behind the bridal party table, and there was even a slideshow of images of Brittney as she grew up, which was projected on the wall as Brittney and her father shared their father/daughter dance. Shawn even made a custom archway for he and Brittney to walk under as they entered into the reception! A couple so thoughtful, that they even gave *me* a few presents that were personalized for their wedding photographer! Which, literally brought tears to my eyes because this was so thoughtful of them.

To know this couple is to feel loved. And you can feel this love as you scroll through images of their wedding day.

Kelsey and Ryan | Pittsburgh Field Club Wedding

I will never forget the second that Ryan dropped to his knee and proposed to Kelsey on a crisp December evening in 2020. I was pretending to be an anonymous walker in the park, in Oakland in front of the Cathedral of Learning. In reality, I was secretly there to photograph the proposal, unbeknownst to Kelsey.

There is something incredibly special to have been a part of Ryan and Kelsey’s proposal, engagement, and also their wedding day. I have photographed them walking through some of their most momentous moments together, all since the very minute when it all began in December 2020.

Kelsey and Ryan’s wedding day began as the perfect segue into fall. The September air was a little cooler than its sister month of August, and somehow the elegance of the day made itself prominent the second that I stepped foot out of the car and walked into Kelsey’s getting ready room.

If I were to choose a few words to describe Kelsey and Ryan, elegance, charisma, bright, and kindhearted would be at the top of my list. They are a fairytale couple, and it is endearing to witness their smiles get even brighter when their eyes catch one another. Which is obvious to see when Ryan sees Kelsey walking down the aisle. This, coupled with the expressions of love and excitement from both of their parents as Ryan stepped onto the alter together, was hands down my favorite moment of the day.

Sarah and Josh | Downtown Pittsburgh Engagement Session

Sarah and Josh. A couple that has the perfect mix of love and admiration for one another… and it is obvious that they are naturally best friends. I photographed their engagement session downtown, and as we walked to different parts throughout the city, the entire session felt at ease. Which I love because during the in-between parts of picture taking, I like to get to know the couple. I really appreciate learning about people, their stories, and their heart. For my wedding clients, I love to know how they met, what they like to do together, and what they are most excited about in life. Oh, also, what their ideal way is to spend a rainy Saturday together.
I loved getting to know Sarah and Josh during their engagement session, and can’t wait to spend more time with both of them and also their families on their wedding day in 2023!

Becca and Andrew | Fern Hollow Nature Center Engagement Session

“At first I couldn’t get her to stop talking, and after a few days I realized that I never wanted her to stop talking!” Andrew says as he relayed the story of how he and Becca met.

It was their freshman year of college, and Becca’s friends asked her to come watch a men’s volleyball game. Having played volleyball for years, Becca was more than excited to! Fast forward a bit, and co-ed volleyball teams were forming. Becca was picked to be on Andrew’s team every time, a foreshadowing of their soon-to-be relationship. This is the point in the story when Andrew realized that he had feelings for Becca (this is the point in the story when he said the aforementioned quote.)

Becca and Andrew are getting married in September of 2023 at the Heinz History Center, and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of their special day! And, their fluffy dog Snoop will be a part of it all!
