What kind of equipment do you use?
We use full frame Nikon camera bodies and a mix of Nikon and Sigma lenses.
Do you have back-up equipment?
Absolutely!
Do you bring lighting equipment?
Yes. We mostly use external lighting for family formal pictures and at the reception.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes!
Can we hire you for an engagement session only?
Absolutely!
When do you photograph engagement sessions?
Engagement sessions are photographed on a weekday during your season of choice.
What do we do if rain is forecasted on the day of our engagement session?
We handle this on a case-by-case basis, but we are flexible and can certainly reschedule your session if there is rain.
Can we add on hours of coverage to our Wedding Collection?
Yes!
How do we book?
To book your Wedding Collection, a signed agreement and a retainer amount of 1/3 of the Collection cost are due up front.
What is your payment schedule?
1/3 of the Collection cost is due to book your date. The second 1/3 is due 6 months prior to your wedding, and the final 1/3 is due one month prior to your wedding date.
What is your approach on a wedding day?
For most of your day, we prefer to be hands-off, because we like to capture moments as they naturally unfold. However, we know when to step in and provide direction, so you don't feel like you have to figure it out yourself! For example, we lend guidance for your portraits once you are all dressed, or during family formal pictures when multiple people are involved. Here and there, we may suggest where to stand based on ambient light. However, it is most important to us that you enjoy your day with your friends and family, so we try to be as transparent as possible during those moments.
How far will you travel?
Anywhere! If your event is further than a 60-mile radius outside of the city of Pittsburgh, we may ask for reimbursement for gas and hotel.
How long does it take to receive our images?
Typically, your images are turned around 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Certain times of the year may require a little extra time if it is peak photography season.
How will we receive our images?
When your images are complete, you proof them via a password-protected online gallery. Once you give me the green light, I will copy the images to a USB and will mail it to you.
How many images do we receive?
On average, approximately 600-700 images are delivered for 8 hours of wedding photography coverage. This number may vary depending on the amount of time it takes us to travel from location to location, by how large your bridal party is, and by how many guests are in attendance at your reception.
Is there a watermark on our digital files?
Your high resolution digital files will not be watermarked.
Do you offer black and white images in addition to color?
Yes! A selection of your portraits together as a couple and alone are delivered in color and black and white. We hand-pick other images that translate beautifully into a black and white image. After your gallery is released, you can request other images to be delivered in black and white- no problem!
Do you retain the copyright to the images?
Yes, I retain the copyright to the images, which allows me to use them for marketing and promotional purposes, for example. You receive the reproduction rights to the images, which permits you to create unlimited reproductions for your personal use.
Can we order prints through you?
Absolutely! You can order prints directly from your online proofing gallery. We offer print promotions once the gallery is released, so you can get something up on your walls ASAP!
What do your Wedding Albums look like?
The Wedding Albums that we offer are beautiful! The album itself is like a coffee table book. The images are flush mounted, meaning, they are printed directly onto the album page, which is constructed from high-quality archival paper. The albums are rectangular in shape, with thick pages. We offer a variety of album cover options, and a dynamic color selection. The most popular cover options are linen, silk, and leather.
How does the album design process work?
I absolutely love to design wedding albums! The albums that I offer are beautifully crafted on flush-mount archival paper.
Once your online gallery is released, you are able to hand pick which images you'd like for your album directly via the gallery. It is like Pinterest, but instead of clicking "Pin It", you click on a heart on the corner of the image that you'd like to select, and this adds the image to your Favorites selection. Once you have decided on your Favorites, I will design your album, for you to proof online. The initial album design takes a few weeks, and once you approve your album, it usually takes approximately 6-8 weeks for the album to be crafted and shipped to you.
Do you also offer video services?
We do not, simply because we want to specialize in photography to provide you with the very best of our craft.
