Weddings
The Experience
Our first touchpoint usually begins with meeting in person over a cup of coffee and some freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies. Not only do we talk about photography and your wedding day, but also the “behind-the-wedding planning scenes” you. I like to hear about how you both first met, what you like to do together, and how the proposal happened (I am a firm believer that a proposal doesn’t have to be elaborate to be the dearest of moments!)
Our conversation can lead anywhere from there- whether it is about your hobbies, your hidden talents, and even your favorite memories. Learning about you is like opening a new book- I am excited to turn the page and learn more about you your story! Knowing who you are helps me to capture the essence of you, which results in beautifully genuine imagery of your wedding day.
After our first meeting, we will touch base a few times in the time prior to your wedding day. It may be taking pictures for your engagement session, or if you need recommendations for other wedding vendors. I’m also happy to help if you want an idea of what a general wedding photography time line looks like.
As we approach your wedding day, I will send a questionnaire for you to fill out. I typically send the questionnaire about 4-6 weeks from your wedding date, when more of your day-of details are solidified. Your responses to the questionnaire will help me pull together a solidified wedding photography timeline, a formal picture list, and your responses will also provide insight into other photography priorities that we may not have already discussed. We are thorough, and like to ensure that every single detail of your wedding day, whether large or small, is captured in the exquisite way that it should be!
On your wedding day, we arrive with bells on, and can’t wait to capture your moments! Our work is part candid photography, and part directional. We don’t orchestrate your day because we want to capture moments as they unfold, but we also know when to step in and lend photographic direction so you’re not left to figure it out on your own (moments like the formal picture, portrait posing, creative pictures with the bridal party.)
We are very flexible to adjust to any curve balls, for example, if there are unforeseen time line changes or if you have last-minute priorities. And, it’s highly probable that you will find us helping with non-photographic miscellaneous moments: anything from pinning boutonnieres to helping grandma cross the street!
Not only are we your wedding photographers, but we are also people that genuinely care about you, and will do anything that we can to ensure that your wedding day is the most perfect day of your life.
